Rose Pinnow

Rose Crivello Pinnow, 101, of Papaikou, died Jan. 18 at her son’s home in Hilo. Born May 4, 1910, in Onomea, she was a housewife and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Sacred Heart of Jesus Society.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Feb. 2 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 3 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Mauna Kea Memorial Park. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Leslie (Norma) Pinnow, of Papaikou, Harold (Hazel) Pinnow, of Hilo; brothers, Leonard (Margo Branco) Crivello and Milton (Agnes) Crivello, both of Hilo; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Tamotsu Tsunezumi

Tamotsu “Tamo” Tsunezumi, 91, of Hilo, died Jan. 20 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born April 2, 1920, in Pepeekeo, he was an auto mechanic and retired proprietor of the former Tamo’s Repair Shop in Hilo and member of the Higashi Hongwanji Mission, Hilo Daijingu, Tenrikyo Hilo Church (Lama Street), Big Island Auto Traders Association, Kamana Club, Uta no Kai Club, Niigata Kenjinkai and Hilo Okinawan Cultural Club.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 4 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10:30 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Dorothy Tsunezumi, of Hilo; sons, Ronald (Carol) Tsunezumi and Oren (Stephanie) Tsunezumi, both of Hilo; daughter, Gail (Eugene) Harada, of Waikele, Oahu; brother, Masatoshi Tsunezumi, of Hilo; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Renee Trask

Renee Juanita Mahealani Trask, 54, of Hilo, died Jan. 18 at her residence. Born Feb. 12, 1957, in San Francisco, she was an executive secretary for the Gibson Foundation and Mililani Trask, board member of Kakoo Ka Umeke Kaeo, secretary for the Big Island Fishing Association; and financial officer for Pono Kaulike.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by husband, Michael Trask, of Hilo; son, Kaiana Trask, of Hilo; daughter, Hulali Trask, of Hilo; father, Peter Murchison, of California; grandmother, Juanita Knight, of Reno, Nev.; brother, Robert Murchison, of California; numerous family members.

Mary NovoGradac

Mary Elizabeth NovoGradac, 81, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 15 in Honokaa. Born Sept. 25, 1930, in Eagle Rock, Calif., she was a homemaker.

Private services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth (Stuart) Wade, of Honolulu, Linda (David) Kaapu, of Waimea, Lisa Grinstead, of Terre Haute, Ind.; sons, George NovoGradac Jr., of Portland, Ore., Harry NovoGradac, of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
